Landmark minimum recommended requirements:
- Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 (64 bit only)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer
- Microsoft Office 2016 or above, Outlook required for email
Integration.
Our products are tested on computers that have all the latest Windows service packs and updates installed. We require that computers that run our products are similarly kept up to date to ensure optimal security.
Standalone Machine Requirements
N.B. Be aware when using McAfee & Norton Anti-virus on older computers due to their own heavy system requirements.
Broadband Speed
Broadband limitations in rural areas can contribute to slower download times. Two key factors are involved:
- Bandwidth, measured in megabits per second (Mbps). High-speed internet typically offers a download speed of at least 25 Mbps and an upload speed of at least 3 Mbps.
- Responsiveness, or how quickly data travels to the server and back, known as Ping time or latency. A Ping time of 20 milliseconds or less is excellent, while 20-100 milliseconds provides good service. Ping times over 100 milliseconds may cause noticeable delays, especially when using remote services.
Satellite connections will have poor latency at times leading to interruptions with remote desktops and other always on services.

We recommend testing your internet speed at various times throughout the day to determine the consistency of your service. If your desktop or laptop isn’t directly connected via a cable, you can enhance your Wi-Fi signal to reduce Ping time. Relocating your router can help strengthen and stabilise your signal. Additionally, using a Wi-Fi repeater or extender can improve the signal strength for devices located farther from the router.
